We will begin the next leg of our Central Vietnam Tour with a short drive to My Son Sanctuary, which was once a revered holy site for the Cham people. Nestled within a lush green forest, you will find an array of red brick temples that have stood for thousands of years. This sacred place, known as My Son Holy Land, held tremendous significance for the Cham community as they would gather here to offer ceremonial objects to Hindu deities such as Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu. Their prayers were intended to bring about better crops, prosperity, and fertility for the entire kingdom.
Originally discovered by the French, My Son Sanctuary boasted over 70 temples and towers. Unfortunately, much of the complex suffered damage during the war, leaving only around 20 temples that have survived to this day. After exploring the remnants of this historical site, we will indulge in an Apsara show, a traditional Cham music performance that will further immerse us in their rich cultural heritage.
Afterward, we will visit the Bay Mau coconut forest and experience the Thung boat. The Bay Mau coconut forest is a serene and picturesque location with numerous coconut trees. We can explore the beautiful surroundings, walk through the grove, and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Then, we'll have the opportunity to experience the Thung boat, a traditional means of transportation made from coconut fiber and bamboo. Today, we will head to Da Nang city to visit the famous attraction of Ba Na Hills, which is a highlight of our Central Vietnam Tour Package. Originally a summer resort for French officials in the 1930s, Ba Na Hills has now become a well-known tourist spot in Vietnam and is regarded as one of the largest indoor amusement parks in the country.

Our destination is the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, situated atop a small hill overlooking the river. This pagoda holds historical significance as a place where emperors would come to find inspiration for their poetry. Today, it remains a revered and serene spot for local Buddhists to make their wishes. We will explore the pagoda grounds, including the 7-level Phuoc Duyen Pagoda, Triple Gate, Dai Hung Sanctuary, and even see the old car of Superior Monk Thich Quang Duc, which he used during his self-immolation protest in Saigon back in 1963.

Our next stop is the tomb of Tu Duc Emperor, a captivating site spread over 12 hectares. This remarkable construction is known for its lush green gardens, tranquil small lakes, and charming islands. Tu Duc Emperor chose this place as his summer retreat and recreation area where he spent time with his concubines.
As we arrive at the tomb, we will take a leisurely stroll around the premises, admiring the temples where the Emperor and his Empress are worshipped. We will then proceed with a short walk to the tomb itself, the final resting place of the Emperor. This serene location offers a glimpse into the history and reverence surrounding the imperial heritage.

Our next destination is the Khai Dinh tomb, the final resting place of an emperor during the Nguyen dynasty. This tomb stands apart from others as it displays strong European influences, with its decorations reflecting French architectural styles.
From afar, the tomb resembles a splendid castle perched on a hill. As we approach, we will notice a magnificent lady Buddha statue in the distance, surrounded by two hills that serve as guardians for the emperor's eternal resting place.
